International Film Partnerships Kenya

Famous international film producer Andrew MacDonald has made his mark on the African film industry, with the goal of boosting job opportunities and supporting the growth of the film industry in Kenya.

In partnership with Kenyan film producer Job Masika, he has created a new film called "Jeraha." Shot on a 100-acre ranch in Nanyuki, this political drama was directed by up-and-coming Kenyan film producer Ali Rashid Mwachuo and stars Charles Ouda, a graduate of the New York film academy, and Mbeki Mwalimu, an award-winning theater producer in Kenya.

The film will be streamed on an online platform that will be announced soon. With a cast and crew of over 80 individuals, Andrew MacDonald is passionate about this project and has pledged to invest over USD 15,000 in it.

The set of the film "Jeraha" was graced by two recent film graduates from the UK, Hugh, and Lachlan McDonald, who took on the role of intern supervisory producers.

They were thrilled with the production and said that they gained a lot from the experience.

They also suggested that more exchange programs be created to help the film industry grow. The program is scheduled to run for two years and will provide full engagement for actors and crew members with attractive pay.

According to John Paul Kiwanuka, the DOP for the film "Jeraha," he has a message for Kenyan film lovers and critics: be prepared for a thrilling and captivating movie experience.

The director of "Jeraha," Ali Rashid Mwachuo, has revealed that the film's story is based on Kenya's political landscape and will be of great interest to both film enthusiasts and those involved in and following politics.
